Travel center company Wally’s has completed a new facility in Whitestown, Indiana, scheduled to open later this month.
The project represents a $40 million investment and marks the enterprise’s initial commercial entry into the state of Indiana, which becomes its third state of operation alongside Illinois and Missouri.
Spanning approximately 53,000sqft, the facility is the largest commercial location within the company’s real estate portfolio.
Situated adjacent to Interstate 65, the travel center incorporates a next-generation layout design intended for one of the fastest-growing municipal communities in Indiana.
The physical infrastructure includes 84 vehicle fueling positions, electric vehicle charging stations, and a large retail store area.
The commercial site houses amenities designed to serve motorists, featuring on-site fresh food production, a bakery section, specialized beverage counters, and coffee service stations.
According to corporate projections, the Whitestown location is positioned to service millions of travellers on an annual basis.
The establishment of the Indiana hub builds upon the operational framework of previous corporate sites opened in Pontiac, Illinois, and Fenton, Missouri, since the company’s inception in 2020.
Corporate leadership indicated that the location selection aligns with an ongoing growth strategy focused on expanding throughout the Midwestern US.
Founded in 2020 by cousins Michael Rubenstein and Chad Wallis, Wally’s operates under the theme of mid-20th century family road trips.
The St. Louis-based enterprise designs high-volume, large-format convenience stores offering services, including high-density vehicle fueling positions, electric vehicle charging capabilities, and expansive retail sections paired with multi-station food halls.
