Menswear omnichannel retailer Tailored Brands has appointed John Tighe as its new CEO, effective August 5.

Tighe joined Tailored Brands as EVP and chief customer officer in 2021 and became president in 2022. He will continue to drive the company’s growth in his new role.

Tighe previously held executive positions at JCPenney and Peerless Clothing. He was on the After-School All-Stars National Board in 2015 and was appointed to leadership positions on the Fashion Scholarship Fund Board of Governors.

“John has been instrumental in our company’s ability to anticipate market shifts and evolve with our customers as he architected nuanced merchandising, planning, marketing, and value-driven pricing strategies,” said Peter Sachse, Tailored Brands’ current CEO.

Sachse will become executive chairman of the company’s board upon Tighe’s appointment.

Founded in 1973, Tailored Brands owns well-known menswear brands, including Men’s Wearhouse, Jos A Bank, and Moores Clothing, and operates several omnichannel stores in the US and Canada.
