Kyle Leahy, CEO of the cult cosmetics brand Glossier, will resign from her executive position by the end of this year and remain on the company’s board to assist with finding a successor.

Leahy joined Glossier in 2021 as chief commercial officer and took on the CEO role three years ago after nine years of leadership experience at Cole Haan and a spell as an analyst at Nike.

“We have reached a new chapter defined by scale, profitability, and brand strength. With that foundation in place, the board and I believe this is the right moment to bring in the next CEO to lead this new phase of growth,” said Leahy.

During her tenure, Leahy helped the beauty brand step into Sephora US and Canada in 2022 in partnership with Mecca Brands and Space NK. Recently, she also led the expansion of Glossier’s fragrance products.

Founded by Emily Weiss in 2014, Glossier began as an e-commerce company with $2 million in funding and now operates in over 10 retail locations, featuring its beauty lineup, which includes skincare products, fragrances, and cosmetics.
