Donatos Pizza has signed three Texas franchisors, regionally taking its total franchise group to nine. The company hopes to open 100 sites statewide.

“With every new agreement, we’re strengthening our footprint on these communities throughout Texas while showcasing our commitment to delivering more of what our guests love,” said Jeff Baldwin, VP of Donatos Pizza’s development and franchising.

Baldwin describes Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston as “powerhouse markets” for the chain. The new Texas locations are set to open this year, and the current operating restaurants are in Mound and Frisco.

As part of its accelerated growth strategy under the leadership of new CEO and president Kevin King, the chain is signing new franchise partners and offering a limited-time joining opportunity in key Texas markets, including DFW, Houston, Waco, Austin, East Texas, before these areas are fully claimed.

“We are attracting very capable partners who are ready to build something meaningful with us in the Lone Star State,” said King, CEO and president of Donatos Pizza.

Last year, Donatos Pizza made its debut with four franchise deals in the region, and it plans to open up to 20 restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth. The company currently operates more than 176 stores nationwide.
