South Korean cosmetic chain CJ Olive Young is making its debut in the US market by establishing a local subsidiary.
According to the company, CJ Olive Young will localise business activities such as product procurement, marketing, and shipping to strengthen its e-commerce platform in the US.
The brand is also planning to open its first physical store there to test response.
“The launch of our US subsidiary marks a significant step in our mission to support small and medium-sized K-beauty brands in the global market and foster a sustainable growth environment for the industry,” said CJ Olive Young CEO Lee Sun-jung.
“We will continue to serve as a ‘growth booster’ for K-beauty worldwide, ensuring that the industry’s upward momentum remains strong.”
Olive Young is currently available in 150 countries, with North America being a crucial market due to its potential for young, tech-savvy consumers.
Last year, CJ Olive Young established a business entity in Japan to distribute its cosmetics items through local distribution channels.
