Ulta Beauty has added the presidential duties to Kecia L Steelman, COO at the beauty retail company.

Steelman will continue to report to CEO Dave Kimbel in her new appointment as president while continuing her role as COO of Ulta Beauty, which she has held since June 2021. Prior to that, Steelman held the position of chief store operations officer since September 2015.

Steelman joined Ulta Beauty as senior VP, store operations in July 2014. Before joining Ulta Beauty, Steelman held senior leadership roles at Family Dollar Stores, Expo Design Center, Home Depot Design Center, and YardBirds.

She also worked in various retail and merchandising operations at Target Corporation from 1993 to 2005.

“Kecia is a talented executive with a proven track record of driving operational excellence while fostering a caring and inclusive culture and creating exceptional guest experiences,” said Kimbel.
