American fast-casual chain Shake Shack is set to make its debut in Vietnam, with plans to open 15 locations across the country by 2035.
The expansion comes through a strengthened partnership with Hong Kong-headquartered licensee Maxim’s Caterers Limited, further cementing Shake Shack’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
The first Vietnam Shack is scheduled to open next year, offering fan favorites such as the ShackBurger, crinkle-cut fries, hand-spun frozen custard, the Chicken Shack, and ShackMeister beer.
“Expanding into Vietnam is an exciting leap forward for Shake Shack,” says Michael Kark, president of global licensing at Shake Shack.
“With 15 Shacks planned over the next decade, we’re not just growing, we’re planting roots in one of Asia’s most vibrant, food-loving cultures.”
Maxim’s Caterers currently runs 52 Shake Shack locations across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Thailand.
“Maxim’s is the perfect partner to bring our mission to life, with their unmatched local insight, operational excellence, and passion for hospitality. Together, we can’t wait to welcome a whole new community of Shack fans in Vietnam,” Kark added.
Shake Shack has grown to more than 610 locations globally, including more than 210 restaurants in major cities such as London, Tokyo, Seoul, and Dubai.
