Fast-casual restaurant chain Quiznos has opened its first modular Qube restaurant in Alpena, Michigan, marking the brand’s debut in the city and the introduction of a new restaurant format.
Developed in partnership with BCubed Manufacturing and Rego Restaurant Group – Quiznos’ parent company – the Qube unit spans approximately 650sqft and features drive-thru and walk-up windows, with a layout optimized for delivery and takeaway.
The modular store is built off-site and delivered fully equipped, reducing development time and allowing future upgrades like self-service lockers and kiosks.
The Alpena restaurant offers a menu of signature Quiznos items such as the Classic Italian and Chicken Carbonara subs, alongside regional selections like Philly Fries or Tots and Belgian waffles.
Jeff Konczak, a local developer with multiple revitalization projects in Alpena, operates the location. He also owns four Biggby Coffee outlets, including one in the same multi-unit development.
“A brand like Quiznos, with its strong potential for continued growth, is the ideal partner for introducing the BCubed structure,” said Konczak.
“This partnership will drive expansion for both brands. Alpena is also growing and developing, making it the perfect place to launch this exciting collaboration.”
The Alpena Qube is Quiznos’ sixth location in Michigan and first in the state’s northeast region.
