National golf brand PGA Tour Superstore, owned by the Blank Family of Businesses, has appointed Troy Rice, a former Home Depot executive, as its new CEO, effective September 2.

Rice held several executive positions during his 16-year tenure at Home Depot, including regional VP and division president, before taking on the executive VP role at Toys “R” Us in 2006.

“Troy’s proven record of success makes him an exceptional fit to lead as our new CEO of PGA Tour Superstore,” said Arthur M Blank, chairman and owner of the Blank Family of Businesses.

“His achievements, particularly his ability to drive growth, lead transformation and elevate customer experiences, reflect his understanding of today’s retail climate.”

He also worked with Office Depot and Total Wine and More to lead those brands’ store expansion and operations.

Dick Sullivan, whose retirement is planned in April, will remain executive chairman of PGA Tour Superstore and a member of the board, while the brand’s president, Jill Speigel, reports to Rice.
