Healthcare apparel and lifestyle label Figs has opened its first physical store at Los Angeles’ Century City Mall.
The expansion into physical retail represents the brand’s response to the increasing demand of its customers, following the success of previous trial pop-ups.
Named Community Hub, the space aims to create even deeper connections among the Figs community and shine a spotlight on healthcare professionals. The in-person shopping experience is also expected to generate more revenues across the brand’s online platform.
According to the company, Century City Mall has an annual foot traffic of approximately 20 million people and houses five popular healthcare clinics. In addition, Los Angeles is where Figs was founded and one of its largest markets.
Trina Spear, CEO and co-founder of Figs, said the Community Hub is a space for customers to not only try on products but also to connect and share their knowledge.
The brand plans to open its next Community Hub in the first half of next year in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square, with more to come in markets with a high density of healthcare professionals.
Figs posted a 10.7 per cent increase in net revenues to $142.4 million for the third quarter. The number of active customers as of September 30 rose 19.6 per cent to 2.6 million.
The company expects full-year net revenue to grow approximately 8.5 per cent compared to last year.
