Hermès reopened its store at the Westfield UTC shopping center in San Diego, relocating to a larger space within the mall.

First established in 2008, the updated store features an expanded layout designed by Paris-based architecture firm RDAI.

Anchored by a terracotta-toned ceramic brick facade, the exterior is also built with full-height windows overlooking the shopping center.

Inside, the store is structured to display the French brand’s 16 product categories, including silk goods, perfumes, leather items, jewelry, home collections, and ready-to-wear clothing.

The interior design uses color-gradient flooring, raffia and cotton wall coverings in pink and green hues, and custom furnishings to separate individual departments and a private client lounge.

The store’s decor incorporates curated artwork from both the Émile Hermès Collection and contemporary photographers, including works by Cécile Bortoletti and Lisa Sorgini.

The San Diego location is part of the luxury brand’s global network, which includes nearly 300 stores across 45 countries.

Last year, the luxury brand saw its store foot traffic increase, with even growth in the US, while continuing to expand in the country, including the launch of its first store in Arizona and a new store in Nashville.
