Foot Locker has unveiled ‘It Always Will Be Foot Locker’, a new marketing campaign that positions its role at the center of sneaker and basketball culture.

The company says the campaign brings together the brand’s defining moments, stories and influence that have shaped sneaker culture for over five decades, marking the next chapter in Foot Locker’s evolution.

Created in partnership with creative agency Someplace, the hero film showcases the lasting influence of some of its most iconic footwear on people’s self-expression, from the original Air Jordan 1 in 1985 to the return of the Converse Weapon in 1986. Each scene pays a cinematic tribute to the Foot Locker Stripers and their longstanding role in connecting sneaker enthusiasts with products, brands and sneaker-centered communities.

“For more than 50 years, Foot Locker has given sneaker culture a true home, helping define its iconic moments and milestones,” said Brett O’Brien, SVP and chief marketing officer at Foot Locker. He described the platform as a “love letter” to that legacy and to the generations of customers and communities who have shaped it.

“It celebrates where sneaker culture has been, reflects where it is today, and inspires the next generation to write the next chapter with us.”

The debut film forms part of an integrated campaign spanning broadcast, social, digital, out-of-home, and in-store.

“As someone who has been part of sneaker culture for decades, this project felt personal,” said Method Man, who narrates the campaign’s two-minute brand anthem.

“Sneakers have always been bigger than footwear. They represent where you’re from, what inspires you, and the moments that shape you. That’s what makes this campaign so authentic.”

Complementing ‘It Always Will Be Foot Locker’ is the launch of Sole Stories, a 36-episode documentary series spotlighting the personal memories, emotional connections and stories forged by sneakers throughout people’s journeys.
