AKA Brands posts higher net sales amid US market growth

AKA Brands booked higher net sales in the third quarter, primarily driven by the increase of orders due to growth in the US.

The group’s net sales grew 6.4 per cent from the year-ago period to $149.9 million with net loss improving to $5.4 million.

Year-to-date, the company has opened three Princess Polly stores in San Diego, Scottsdale and Boston.

The brand plans to open two more Princess Polly stores in California in the fourth quarter and the first New York Princess Polly store early next year.

AKA Brands also extended its partnership with Nordstrom, agreeing to feature Petal & Pup in 40 Nordstrom stores in the fourth quarter.

For the full year, the company expects net sales of $567 million to $572 million.
