Electronics retailer Best Buy is making changes to its executive team as part of the ongoing transition of its CEO role.
In late April, Best Buy confirmed that Jason Bonfig is to succeed outgoing CEO Corie Barry, who will vacate her post on October 31. The two are due to share their responsibilities up until that point. Ahead of this, the company has made five changes to its executive team.
These are: Frank Bedo as chief strategy and growth officer; Patrick McGinni as chief revenue officer; Luke Motschenbacher as chief retail and services officer; Lisa Valentino as chief ads and media officer; Duane Scarboro as chief fulfillment and operations officer.
“Our four priorities give us a clear view of where we’re headed, and there’s an incredible foundation and momentum getting us there,” Bonfig said. “But to truly become the Best Buy we know we can be, we have to organize against the right work and with the right leaders.”
“This new team brings together deep expertise, a strong customer focus and a shared desire and commitment to advancing our strategy. They are the right leaders to bring us into our next chapter of creating growth for the company by providing incredible experiences for customers and our teams.”
The company said these changes reinforce its efforts to grow as a retail media, advertising and technology company, while improving customer experience.
It is also continuing a search for a CFO to partner with Bonfig as current CFO, Matt Bilunas, prepares to step down at the end of the month.
