Dining and entertainment chain Dave & Buster’s has appointed Tarun Lal as its CEO and a member of its board.

Lal, with 20 years of experience in several leadership roles at Yum! Brands, was recently the president of KFC US, overseeing the brand’s total operations in the region. 

Before that, he served as the COO and MD of KFC, leading the brand’s global expansions and digital innovations, and delivering stable growth across international markets, including the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, India, and Pakistan.

“Tarun is a talented leader and seasoned operator with a highly successful track record of growing and improving businesses and brands in the US and around the world,” said Kevin Sheehan, chairman and interim CEO of Dave & Buster’s.

Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Coppell, Texas, Dave & Buster’s operates 236 venues in North America and 175 branded stores in 43 states, Puerto Rico, and Canada, offering entertainment and dining services through Dave & Buster’s and Main Event.

In 2023, Dave & Buster’s planned to launch 20 stores in India and Australia.
