Ono Hawaiian BBQ is set to open its first Texas restaurant in Plano on July 24, marking the brand’s third state after California and Arizona.
Located at 8724 Preston Road, the new fast-casual restaurant will feature a drive-thru service to accommodate off-premise dining.
The Texas location will serve the brand’s signature menu, which centers on traditional Hawaiian plate lunches.
These meals consist of proteins such as barbecue chicken, barbecue beef, kalbi short ribs, chicken katsu, and seafood, accompanied by two scoops of rice and macaroni salad, along with side items including Spam musubi.
According to the company, the Plano site is the first of several planned locations in the state as part of a broader regional expansion strategy.
“Our goal has always been to share the flavors, and aloha spirit through fresh, quality food and genuine hospitality,” said Joshua Liang, co-founder and CEO at Ono Hawaiian BBQ.
“We look forward to becoming part of the Dallas community and welcoming guests to experience what has made Ono Hawaiian BBQ a favorite for more than two decades.”
To mark the opening, the restaurant is scheduled to hold a promotional event on its launch day. The promotion includes a buy-one-get-one-free offer on meals throughout the day, along with a giveaway featuring travel accommodations and event tickets to Hawaii.
Founded in 2002, Ono Hawaiian BBQ is a family-owned fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in Hawaiian-inspired cuisine and island specialties.
The company prepares its menu items from scratch daily and cooks proteins to order. Before entering the Texas market, the brand established an operational footprint of more than 130 locations across California and Arizona.
