Smoothie King will open more than 200 stores as the health-focused quick-service chain expands its footprint, broadens its menu, and updates its store design.
“This brand evolution is about building on what we started more than 50 years ago and reinforcing the role only Smoothie King can play in the category we created,” said Gavin Felder, president of Smoothie King.
As part of its growth plan, the QSR chain is introducing new food items, including flatbreads and high-protein offerings, to complement its beverages.
In addition, the company is renovating its stores with warmer interiors, updated layouts, new lighting, and revised merchandising elements.
“At the heart of this evolution is a deep understanding of what our guests want and need from us today,” said Claudia Schaefer, chief marketing officer of Smoothie King.
“Through research and feedback, we’ve redefined how we show up across every touchpoint, from our menu to our messaging to the in-store experience.”
Established in 1973, Smoothie King serves custom-blended beverages and snacks. It is known for using whole fruits and vegetables without using artificial flavours, colours, or sweeteners.
