American luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue is entering the Indian market through a franchise agreement with Reliance Retail.
Established in 1924, Saks Fifth Avenue is known for its curated fashion labels and personalized customer service. It operates a network of 41 stores across North America.
“To address the super luxury segment in India, we have entered into a franchise agreement with Saks Fifth Avenue, a global luxury retailer,” said Dinesh Taluja, CFO of Reliance Retail.
In addition to Saks Fifth Avenue, Reliance’s premium brands division has recently introduced Tiffany & Co, luxury fashion brand Sandro, and the London-based restaurant chain EL&N Cafes in India.
