Taiwanese bakery Miopane has entered the US market, opening its first store in Pasadena, Los Angeles.
The Pasadena outlet features an open, production-forward layout, with bagels displayed behind a glass counter and the preparation area fully visible to customers.
Bakers knead and bake on site, which the company says reinforces its focus on freshness and craft.
Miopane’s US menu includes more than 20 bagel varieties alongside coffee and tea.
Signature items include Maple Glaze, Green Onion croissants, and Jalapeno Sharp Cheddar Bagels.
Prices are higher than in Taiwan, with bagels retailing at about $7.50 (NT$230) compared with roughly $2.50 (NT$80) in Miopane’s home market.
However, customers noted that the pricing is close to the artisanal bagel offerings in LA.
