Bulgari has appointed Laura Burdese as CEO, effective immediately, succeeding Jean-Christophe Babin, who will take on a newly created role leading the brand’s hospitality business.
Burdese will report to LVMH Group MD Stéphane Bianchi, while Babin becomes CEO of Bulgari Hotels & Resorts as the luxury house continues to expand its hospitality division.
“I am very proud of this smooth transition from one great leader to another,” said Bianchi.
“For the past three years, Laura and Jean- Christophe have worked side by side to sustain and orchestrate the brand elevation of the iconic Roman jewellery Maison.”
Burdese joined LVMH in 2016 as CEO of Acqua di Parma before moving to Bulgari as chief marketing officer in 2022. She was promoted to deputy CEO in 2024, working alongside Babin in preparation for the leadership transition.
Before joining LVMH, Burdese held senior leadership roles at Beiersdorf, L’Oréal, and Swatch Group, and later served as president and CEO of Calvin Klein Watch & Jewelry.
“I’m very aware of what this role asks of me, and I will carry the trust I’ve been given with care,” Burdese said.
“I approach this next step with deep respect and the genuine desire to bring this magnificent and iconic maison to new heights, with humility, ambition, and a drive I know I share with colleagues worldwide.”
