KFC has appointed Maria Cacciapuoti as global chief operating officer, effective September.
Cacciapuoti will report to global CEO Scott Mezvinsky and lead the fast-food chain’s global operations, working with franchisees to modernize the brand for customers and restaurant team members.
She joined KFC in 2015 and has held leadership roles across Italy, Iberia, Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, and most recently North Asia.
KFC said Cacciapuoti brings more than 20 years of experience across the restaurant and retail industries, with expertise in operations, finance, franchising and general management.
Before joining the company, she held leadership roles at McDonald’s, Autogrill and Librerie Feltrinelli.
