KFC is renovating restaurants, refreshing its branding, and expanding its menu as part of a broader effort to modernize the brand.
Beginning this summer, the fastfood chain will introduce redesigned restaurant concepts, including an open-concept location in Texas and a two-story immersive restaurant in Dubai.
KFC has also unveiled an updated visual identity, rolling out new branding and typography across packaging, digital channels, advertising, and restaurant environments.
The menu expansion includes Dipped, chicken tenders served with a choice of 20 sauces; Dunked, tenders, wings, and sandwiches coated in sauce; and Kwench, a beverage platform featuring boba drinks, shakes, sparkling lemonade, and iced coffee.
“Together, these fresh ways to experience KFC position the brand to be enjoyed for sips, snacks, or meals,” said the company.
“The initiative is designed to encourage flavor exploration and personalization, giving customers more ways to customize menu items and create their own combinations.”
In the UK and Ireland, KFC is introducing new chicken tenders and nine sauces alongside the refreshed branding across marketing and digital channels.
The rollout is expected to expand in the US and into Australia during the coming weeks, with additional markets to follow throughout the year.
“In an increasingly crowded category, we have a clear opportunity to set the standard for modern chicken in QSR,” said Scott Mezvinsky, CEO of KFC Global.
“This next chapter brings new energy and expression to what makes us iconic, while doubling down on our chicken and reimagining how fans experience KFC around the world.”
