Bath & Body Works has eliminated its president of retail role, with Julie Rosen stepping down from her position, effective immediately.
The company said it has mutually agreed with Rosen on the decision. Rosen, who joined the retailer in 2020, will be available in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
All functions that previously reported to Rosen will now report to Gina Boswell, the company’s CEO.
“Having made significant progress in fortifying our operating foundation and building our platform for long-term, sustainable growth, we believe that now is the right time for this change and that we will benefit from accelerated decision-making as a flatter organization,” said Boswell.
The change came as the company Bath & Body Works reported a steeper sales decline in the second quarter amid a challenging market and heightened competition.
The company maintains its full-year guidance, with net sales expected to decrease 2-4 per cent.
