Marshalls is expanding its store network with several new locations slated to open across the country.
The TJX-owned off-price retailer has already opened stores in Malone, New York, and Mercedes, Texas, early this month, and will be followed by outlets in Virginia and Minnesota on October 22.
Four more stores are scheduled to open on October 29, in Lawrence, Massachusetts; Concord, New Hampshire; Circleville, Ohio; and Nacogdoches, Texas.
CEO and president Ernie Herrman outlined plans to add at least 1300 locations globally across its retail brands, which include Marshalls, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Sierra, and HomeSense.
“We continue to see a long runway for growth for TJX,” Herrman said. “There are tremendous opportunities to significantly grow our store base around the world.”
Marshalls sells apparel, homewares, beauty products, seasonal decorations, pet toys, and luggage, and other merchandise. The retailer launched its e-commerce site in 2019.
TJX acquired Marshalls in 1995, when the chain had 496 stores and was the second-largest off-price retailer in the country.
