Capri has appointed Corey Moran as the new CMO of Michael Kors, effective April 6, as part of the company’s strategy to advance the brand’s marketing capabilities and support long-term, consumer-centric growth.

Moran will oversee a newly integrated marketing division encompassing brand communications, content creation, and consumer data analytics.

Moran joins the company after nearly a decade at Google, where he most recently served as head of industry for the fashion and luxury segments.

He previously assumed a senior marketing leader role at Coty, following earlier roles at Unilever.

“Corey brings extensive knowledge of marketing and data analytics in the fashion, luxury and consumer space,” said John D Idol, chairman and CEO of Capri.

“This new position reflects Michael Kors’ continued focus on strengthening its leadership team and advancing its marketing capabilities to support long-term growth. As we continue to evolve our organization and become more consumer-centric, Corey will support our focus on strengthening brand desirability and driving customer engagement on a global scale.”

Last month, Capri named Tyler Reddien as its new CFO and COO, effective March 30.
