‘Convenience and value’ drive global sales growth for McDonald’s

McDonald’s has revealed its third-quarter results, with a remarkable 11 per cent increase in global systemwide sales. 

The company reported a solid 8.8 per cent increase in global comparable sales during the quarter, reflecting consistent growth across all segments.

Its US segment grew 8.1 per cent in comparable sales, driven by strategic menu price increases and effective marketing campaigns. 

Its international operated markets revealed an 8.3 per cent increase in comparable sales, with outstanding performances in key markets like the UK, Germany, and Canada.

Meanwhile, The International Developmental Licensed Markets segment showed substantial growth, with a 10.5 per cent increase in comparable sales across all geographic regions.

In addition to the financial results, the fast-food giant announced a 10 per cent increase in its quarterly cash dividend to $1.67 per share.

Chris Kempczinski, president and CEO of McDonald’s, expressed confidence in the company’s position as an industry leader.

“The macroeconomic environment is unfolding in line with our expectations for the year, and we continue to deliver convenience and value for our customers,” said Kempczinski. 

“Thanks to the entire McDonald’s System’s outstanding execution of Accelerating the Arches, we remain confident in our future and the strategic direction of our business.”
