Academy Sports + Outdoors is set to open 15 to 17 new stores in this fiscal year, with initial two stores to open in Knightdale, North Carolina and Greenwood, Indiana in the first quarter.

“We’re looking forward to helping our loyal customers in Knightdale and Greenwood get to the fun faster and continue to be their destination for the top brands and the lowest prices at these new locations,” Academy Sports + Outdoors SVP of retail operations Eric Friederich said.

The grand opening festivities for the Knightdale store took place last March 22 to 24 while the festivities for the Greenwood site are scheduled on April 12 to 14.

Aside from sports apparel and equipment, Academy Sports + Outdoors also offers free services such as grill and bike assembly, scope mounting, bore sighting, line winding/spooling, and propane exchange.

Hunting and fishing licenses are also available to purchase in stores.
