Celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak’s haircare business Roz has secured an oversubscribed seed round led by investing partner Silas Capital and with the participation of G9 Ventures.

Celebrity makeup artists and hairstylists Melanie Inglessis, Rachel Goodwin, Pati Dubroff, Sami Knight, Kylee Heath, and Ericka Verrett are the new investors. Lily Collins joins previously announced celebrity investors Mila Kunis, Daisy Ridley, Zoe Saldana, and Brooklyn Decker, who invested in a prior friends-and-family round.

The business plans to use the funds to expand retail, improve its professional presence, strengthen its channels, and drive product innovation.

Roszak founded Roz in 2021 with two products and now offers eight styling and haircare products, sold at retailers, including Credo, Neiman Marcus, Goop, Nordstrom, and Revolve, as well as independent merchants and professional salons nationwide.

“The growth and momentum of the business has been extraordinary, and the enthusiastic response from both professionals and clients to our product formulations has been nothing short of remarkable,” said Roszak.

“Roz is my greatest passion, and having growth partners who share my excitement and understand my vision is a dream come true. Together, we will continue to bring this vision to life.”

The seed round follows the debut of Roz’s latest treatment breakthrough, the Foundation Mask – a nourishing hair mask designed to hydrate, heal damage, and protect colour.
