Target has named Mark Weinstein as CMO and guest experience officer, effective immediately. He will report directly to CEO Michael Fiddelke.
The corporate executive steps into the expanded leadership position to enhance customer interactions and support the supermarket’s long-term growth.
Weinstein transitions to the retail giant following a sixteen-year career at Hilton, where he was appointed as global CMO overseeing 28 hospitality brands, the Hilton Honors loyalty platform, and the company’s luxury portfolio.
His prior professional background centers on developing consumer-focused digital platforms, brand strategies, and loyalty initiatives built to drive customer retention.
In his new role, Weinstein is responsible for connecting customer touchpoints across retail stores, digital platforms, and cultural campaigns. His operational brief includes managing Roundel, Target’s retail media network, and Target Plus, the company’s curated digital marketplace.
As Target’s new CMO and guest experience lead, Weinstein will also lead the company’s promotional strategy to align brand marketing with personalising guest loyalty.
“As we continue writing the next chapter at Target, deepening how we know and engage our guests will be critical to our success,” said Fiddelke.
“Mark has a proven ability to understand what consumers value and turn those insights into brand connections that feel relevant and personal. His leadership will help us elevate the guest experience across every interaction with Target, deepening existing relationships, welcoming new guests and driving continued growth.”
Last month, Target unveiled an in-house Beauty Studio concept following Ulta’s exit across more than 600 locations nationwide and on Target’s online channels.
