Luxury resale platform Vestiaire Collective has appointed Bernard Osta as CEO, following the departure of Max Bittner after seven years in the role.

Osta, who joined the Paris-based company in 2021, previously served as chief strategy officer and most recently as the company’s CFO.

Before joining Vestiaire, Osta spent 15 years in investment banking at Lazard and Goldman Sachs, and is a part of the supervisory board of media group Vivendi.

“With the rise of AI, we have an extraordinary opportunity to accelerate on our product roadmap, deliver the most engaging customer experience and gain market share,” said Osta.

The company said it will continue to expand across the US, Europe, and Apac, focusing on AI-driven improvements for both buyers and sellers and brand growth.

“We want to thank Maximilian Bittner for his dedication and the significant role he has played in the development of the company since he joined in late 2018,” said the company’s board.

“Looking forward, we are very happy to open a new chapter under the leadership of Bernard.

“We have worked very closely with him since he joined Vestiaire Collective. His intimate knowledge of the company, international experience and great leadership will be invaluable assets for Vestiaire Collective in its next phase of growth.”
