Deckers Brands, parent of Hoka and Ugg, has reported sales growth for the second quarter despite some softness in the US market.

The company’s net sales rose 3.5 per cent to $1.481 billion during the quarter ended September 30. On a constant currency basis, net sales increased 2.8 per cent.

Domestic net sales decreased 0.4 per cent to $835.8 million, while international sales jumped 9 per cent to $644.7 million.

The two key brands, Hoka and Ugg, both saw improvement during the period, with sales up 6.8 per cent and 3.5 per cent, respectively. Teva reported a 54.3 per cent drop, but the brand only accounted for approximately 3 per cent of total sales.

On the bottom line, net income rose from $268 million a year ago to $313 million, reversing a decline in the first quarter.

“We delivered earnings above our expectations in the second quarter by maintaining disciplined marketplace management and a focus on expense control in a challenging consumer environment,” said president and CEO Stefano Caroti.

“As we move through the back half of fiscal 2027, we are taking deliberate actions to strengthen our connection with consumers, sharpen execution, and concentrate resources behind our greatest opportunities. We remain confident in the significant global opportunities ahead for both Hoka and Ugg, and our ability to drive sustainable growth.”

For the full year, Deckers expects Hoka sales to grow by a high-single-digit percentage, and Ugg to increase by a low-single-digit percentage.
