Vans has opened its first Community Store concept in France, selecting Paris’ Le Marais district as the site for the new flagship.

The store, positioned as the largest Vans store in the market, is the second Community Store in Europe, following the launch of its West End location in London. The concept blends retail with space dedicated to local programming and creative engagement, aiming to function as more than a traditional storefront.

Designed by architect Andrea Caputo, the Paris location features a gallery-like interior, a 200sqm open-air courtyard, and 170sqm retail space.

The store includes installations from creative studio Lola James Harper, with additional artist collaborations expected over time. Vans plans to use the space for a rotating calendar of music events, skate sessions, art shows, and design workshops, positioning it as a meeting point for local creatives.

“Paris has always been a global engine for creativity, so opening Vans Le Marais here feels natural,” said Andreas Olsson, GM Vans EMEA.

“This store is more than a retail space, it’s a community hub designed to bring creators, skaters, and fans together. It allows us to showcase the full breadth of the brand in a way that’s immersive, premium, and deeply connected to the culture around us.”

In addition, according to the brand, Vans Le Marais is the only store in France to carry OTW products and exclusive drops.

In October, VF Corp reported a modest sales uplift in the second quarter, amid positive growth at The North Face and Timberland and a sequential improvement at Vans.
