Monopoly and Nerf owner Hasbro has notified the market of a cyberattack it suffered, with an investigation ongoing.

Revealing the news overnight, Hasbro said the attack took place on March 28. It notified the SEC of the incident through a regulatory filing.

“Upon discovery, the company promptly activated its security incident response protocols, implemented containment measures, including proactively taking certain systems offline, and launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity professionals,” the filing read.

Hasbro said it is “working diligently to resolve the matter and determine the full scope of the impact”.

“The company has implemented and continues to implement business continuity plans to enable it to continue to take orders, ship product, and conduct other key operations while it resolves this situation,” it added.

These plans may run on an interim basis for several weeks, Hasbro said, which could result in delays.

“The company will continue to implement measures to secure its business operations and take additional steps as appropriate,” the filing ended.
