Under Armour has made several changes to its senior leadership team as part of its ongoing turnaround plans.

The sportswear brand has appointed Kara Trent as chief merchandizing officer and Adam Peake as president, Americas, both effective February 2.

According to the company, the moves will accelerate its transformation by sharpening execution, reinforcing operational discipline, and aligning products under a unified operating model.

Trent brings 24 years of industry experience in buying, planning, merchandising, and regional leadership, having recently served as president, Americas and previously MD for EMEA.

In her new role, Trent will lead category management and go-to-market initiatives, overseeing product line, assortment planning, and channel segmentation.

Peake has more than 25 years of leadership experience, including 16 years at Under Armour in senior roles spanning US sales and global marketing.

In his new role, he will lead business across North and South America, overseeing marketplace strategy, distribution, and omni-channel growth.

“Our transformation is gaining momentum as we take deliberate actions to sharpen our focus, strengthen our operational rigor, and elevate how we serve athletes,” said Kevin Plank, Under Armour president and CEO.

“These moves bring clarity, cohesion, and energy to the work ahead,” Plank added.

In addition, Yassine Saidi, who joined the company in 2024, will transition to a senior advisor role focused on design expression and creative continuity.

For the second fiscal quarter, Under Armour reported a 5 per cent decline in sales to $1.3 billion.
