Cubitts is opening a store in New York City on April 25, the first permanent store of the British eyewear company outside the UK in its 10-year history, Fashion United reported.

The New York store will be the brand’s 17th store, in addition to its existing shops in London, Edinburgh, Leeds, Brighton and Cambridge.

It will be located at 103 Mercer Street in SoHo and will feature an exclusive seven-piece collection inspired by New York spots such as Studio 54, Radio City Music Hall and The Mudd Club.

“Ten years on from our first store opening in Soho, London, I’m delighted to announce our opening in SoHo, New York. The goal of reaching 1 million pounds profit was always to launch in the US as we have long gazed across the Atlantic with wonder and curiosity,” said Cubitts founder Tom Broughton.

“I look forward to integrating Cubitts into the local community and bringing the craftsmanship and design we’re known for in the UK to Manhattan.”
