Shake Shack boosts profit as sales rise in third quarter

Restaurant chain Shake Shack reported higher sales and licensing revenue in the third quarter.

The company booked an attributable net income of $7.6 million in the three months ended September 27 as revenue rose 21.2 per cent year on year to $276.2 million.

Shack sales rose 21.7 per cent to $265 million while licensing revenue jumped 35.1 per cent to $11.2 million.

Over the first three quarters, the company’s net income stood at $13.7 million as revenue climbed 21 per cent to $801.3 million.
