US luxury home furnishings retailer RH has opened its first UK gallery, RH London, The Gallery in Mayfair, at 7 Burlington Gardens.

Housed in a restored Grade II-listed Palladian mansion, the five-level destination combines the brand’s home furnishings collections with hospitality, interior design services and exhibition spaces.

The retail offering spans RH’s interiors, modern, outdoor and contemporary collections, along with bespoke furniture, couture upholstery, rugs, lighting, bath and tabletop products.

“We don’t always get to choose the right time in life, and believe there are times it chooses us,” said RH founder, chairman and CEO Gary Friedman.

“Built on a foundation of rarity and reverence for what came before, RH London honors the building’s extraordinary history while thoughtfully writing its next chapter, and ours.”

According to the company, the building was originally designed more than 300 years ago by architect Giacomo Leoni and has been meticulously restored to preserve its historic character while introducing RH’s integrated retail and hospitality concept.

In May, the brand also opened a seven-level retail concept in Milan, combining showrooms, dining, services and curated art installations under one roof.
