Nike has announced changes to its senior leadership team to accelerate progress and ensure future growth as the company amps up its Win Now plan.

Nike’s CEO, Elliot Hill, and president of consumer, product and brand, Heidi O’Neill, have decided to divide leadership into three areas, including consumer and sport, production creation – which will include innovation and design – and marketing.

As a result of the restructuring, O’Neill will be retiring from Nike but will stay on in an advisory capacity until September.

Previously VP and GM of global woman’s, Amy Montagne will be taking over as president of Nike and will be responsible for serving consumers across all sports and driving future growth.

Phil McCartney has been promoted to executive VP and chief innovation, design and product officer.

Formerly VP of Nike footwear, McCartney will be responsible for product innovation, including Nike, Jordan and Converse products for athletes.

Nicole Graham, previously CEO, has been promoted to executive VP and will lead Nike, Jordan and Converse’s storytelling to shape the brand’s growth through the passion and emotion of sport.

Nike’s current strategic advisor to the CEO and member of the senior leadership team, Tom Clarke, has taken on the role of chief growth initiatives officer.

“I’m confident that with this new structure and leadership team in place, we will be able to better line up and leverage all the advantages that make Nike great,” said Hill.

“These exceptional leaders bring extensive Nike experience and have been instrumental in resetting our priorities to lead with sport and put the athlete at the center of everything we do.”
