Sports heritage brand Mitchell & Ness has opened a flagship store in Philadelphia, relocating to a larger three-story space designed to strengthen customer engagement through retail, events and community-focused programming.

The 16,400sqft store at Walnut Street replaces the company’s previous Philadelphia flagship, with two floors dedicated to merchandise, including jerseys, headwear, women’s apparel and youth collections, while a third floor has been developed as a flexible event space.

The space will host product launches, sports trading card events, community gatherings and other activations throughout the year, underscoring the growing role of experiential retail in attracting consumers beyond traditional shopping.

According to company president Emilie Arel, the flagship represents an opportunity to create a larger brand experience that showcases Mitchell & Ness’ nearly 125-year heritage at the intersection of sport, culture and fashion.

The opening comes ahead of several major events scheduled for Philadelphia, including matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the US.

Founded in Philadelphia in 1904, Mitchell & Ness has grown from a sporting goods manufacturer into a global sports lifestyle brand. The brand was acquired by Fanatics in 2022.
