Lifestyle brand Miniso says its new store in Times Square, New York, has already shattered both first-day and first-month sales records when compared globally.

According to brand founder and CEO, Jack Ye, the Times Square store has recorded more than 60,000 consumer visits in its inaugural month and has more than 2500 individual SKUs stocked.

Sales from this store were approximately eight times higher than the average sales of the other nearly 80 stores in the US.

The brand says the growth can be attributed to the higher proportion of sales coming from on-trend IP-licensed products and original designs.

These products carry a higher unit price, profit margin, and overall profitability, hence necessitating “authorized cooperations” between Miniso and IPs regularly.

The store sells unique products from Miniso’s collaborations with renowned IPs such as Sanrio, Disney, and Pokémon.

Ye said Miniso’s new store has achieved “outstanding results” during its debut month.

“The performance milestone reflects the brand’s growing influence in the United States and strengthens its confidence in expanding further.”

By the end of this year, the brand plans to expand its presence to 100 locations and operate in 28 states.
