Polish luxury fashion label Magda Butrym will open its first New York flagship in early September.
The opening follows a three-month pop-up on Wooster Street last year, which CEO Jakub Czarnota said performed commercially well.
He added that the US is now the brand’s largest direct-to-consumer market, making NYC the natural choice for its next permanent store.
Designed by Stockholm-based studio Stamuli, the three-level 4300sqft boutique incorporates references to Polish craftsmanship and the brand’s signature rose motif.
The interior also features artworks and vintage furnishings sourced from Eastern Europe.
“The boutique is a way of bringing my Slavic world into New York, not in a folkloric way, but through emotion, craft, texture, and atmosphere,” founder Magda Butrym said.
“I wanted it to feel intimate and layered, like a private place where every detail carries a little memory.”
Looking ahead, Czarnota said the brand is exploring further retail opportunities in Miami, Los Angeles, and Texas.
Established in 2014 in Warsaw, Poland, Magda Butrym is a luxury women’s ready-to-wear, footwear, and accessories fashion house. The brand is known for combining modern tailoring and contemporary silhouettes with traditional Polish craftsmanship.
