French outdoor sports brand Salomon has expanded its US retail footprint with the opening of its largest New York City store in the Flatiron district. 

The store is located at 141 Fifth Avenue and offers Salomon’s performance footwear and apparel alongside its growing sportstyle collection.

According to the brand, it is intended to support Salomon’s experiential retail strategy through community events, product launches and other activations.

The Flatiron store becomes Salomon’s seventh retail location in North America and joins a global network of flagship stores in cities including Paris, London, Barcelona, Seoul and Tokyo.

Steve Doolan, president and GM of Salomon North America, said the new store reflects the brand’s commitment to creating immersive retail experiences that connect with consumers.

“Our community, from Annecy and Paris to New York City, expects the high standard of the Salomon experience and quality across all of our categories, from product to experiential,” said Doolan. 

“We’re thrilled to continue this quest for innovation and greatness, welcoming more people into the Salomon lifestyle through performance, sportstyle, and emerging categories.” 

The move is part of Salomon’s broader strategy to expand beyond its mountain-sports roots. Alongside its growing presence in gravel running, the brand continues to bring performance technologies into its sportstyle collection, blending technical functionality with everyday wear.

Earlier this year, Salomon opened its first flagship store in Latin America, in Mexico City.
