Luxury e-commerce platform MyTheresa has appointed Francis Belin as its new CEO, effective next year.

Michael Kliger, who has served as the company’s CEO for the past 10 years, will step down from the role as he transitions to become CEO of LuxExperience Group.

Belin most recently served as Asia Pacific president at Christie’s, overseeing luxury and Asian art. During his tenure, he secured major collections and artworks for the auction house. He also previously held senior roles at Swarovski and Richemont.

“With Francis, we have found an exceptional leader known for his customer-centric focus, global mindset, strong execution and collaborative leadership style,” Kliger said.

“I look forward to supporting him as he leads the next chapter for the MyTheresa business.”

The company said Belin will guide MyTheresa’s next phase of global expansion and lead its existing executive team.

“I am deeply impressed by the robust business model and strong brand positioning that MyTheresa has established under Michael’s leadership,” said Belin. “I look forward to working alongside the talented team to unlock MyTheresa’s next phase of global growth as a leader in the luxury market.”

Founded as a boutique in 1987, MyTheresa launched online in 2006 and now offers a curated selection of womenswear, menswear, kidswear, lifestyle products and fine jewelry from up to 250 luxury brands, including Bottega Veneta, Brunello Cucinelli, Gucci, Loewe, Prada, Saint Laurent, The Row and Valentino.
