New partnerships with such brands as Polo Ralph Lauren were announced at JD’s partners’ conference in China, which attracted more than 1100 industry insiders.
A B2B event hosted by its fashion unit JD Fashion, it showcased the company’s advances in fashion/technology and featured discussions about technology-powered strategies, smart supply chain, creative marketing and JD’s plans to develop a fashion and technology research centre.
As well as the new partnership with Polo Ralph Lauren’s children’s footwear line, and another with Japanese childrenswear brand Miki House, JD also announced plans to work with such apparel brands as Cissonne, Lucky Chouette, Saint James and ShesMiss, as well as Swiss watch brand Oris and Spanish jewellery brand Tous.
Other brands to launch on JD soon include contemporary Italian fashion brand Pinko, handbag and accessory brand Rfactory and Italian bag brand Salar Milano.
JD has also expanded its influence in the fashion industry, last year partnering with the Council of Fashion Designers of America to support the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund dinner. JD has also partnered with the British Fashion Council’s BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund to help more up-and-coming designers enter the Chinese market.
