National quick-service restaurant company, Jack in the Box has announced its Florida expansion plans with new franchise commitments in Tallahassee and Orlando.

Florida’s dynamic population growth and business-friendly environment were cited among the key factors driving the expansion.

Jack in the Box has secured over 400 new franchises in the last three years, nearly 10 per cent of which are slated for Florida.

Its franchisees have committed to opening 15 new locations in the Sunshine State – five of these will be in the city of Tallahassee and 10 in Orlando.

“Expanding into Florida, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing states, aligns perfectly with our strategic plan for the Southeast,” said Tim Linderman, chief development officer.

“We’re thrilled to bring our iconic brand to Tallahassee, our next new market, and further develop our presence in Orlando.”

Details of the new restaurant locations are yet to be disclosed but they are all set to offer dine-in, drive-thru, and mobile ordering options and will be open 24 hours per day.
