US quick-service restaurant chain Bojangles has entered Arizona with the opening of its first restaurant in the state, expanding its footprint into another new US market.

The restaurant is located in Gilbert, bringing the brand’s hand-breaded chicken, scratch-made buttermilk biscuits and iced tea to the Phoenix metropolitan area.

“We are ecstatic to introduce Bojangles to the Valley of the Sun and bring our unique Southern charm to the Phoenix market,” said Jeanette Davis, VP of LV Petroleum.

“Our recent expansions into markets have been met with tremendous enthusiasm, and we are confident that the community will embrace our delicious offerings with the same excitement.”

The Arizona launch is part of Bojangles’ ongoing expansion strategy. The chain has recently entered several new markets, including New Jersey, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, New York, Nevada, Ohio and Louisiana.

Founded in 1977, Bojangles operates more than 880 company-owned and franchised restaurants across 24 US states.
