Fast-casual chicken tenders restaurant brand Huey Magoo’s has signed a multi-unit development deal in Texas, as it works towards its plan to operate 100 locations this year.
The deal, signed with SMR Capital Group, covers five key counties: Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, and Montgomery.
Huey Magoo’s says it is on track to reach 100 locations this year, supported by an existing presence in 12 states and an average per-store unit volume of $2.1 million.
“We continue to attract proven operators who see the strength of the Huey Magoo’s brand and our ability to scale,” said Andy Howard, president and CEO of Huey Magoo’s.
“The SMR Capital Group brings the right combination of operational expertise and development experience, and we’re confident in their ability to successfully grow the brand across Texas.”
Huey Magoo’s franchise model typically requires partners to commit to opening at least three stores over three years.
Last month, Subway reached a new master franchise agreement with a Paraguayan partner.
