HeyDude, an Italian shoe brand owned by Crocs, has named two-time Emmy Award nominee Sydney Sweeney as its long-term global ambassador after its first summer collection in partnership with Lee.
Sweeney will appear as ‘director of Dudes’ in a new campaign to celebrate the brand’s notion of ‘Dudes’ and showcase her behind-camera life as part of the “Dudes” campaign, which refers to being comfortable and confident and inspiring others to do the same.
“Heydude values comfort, both in the footwear space and in all aspects of life, which is a message that we can all get behind,’’ and HeyDude is her “favorite shoe option while traveling or commuting to work,” said Sweeney.
Featuring multiple approaches, including outdoor advertising and coordinated social media efforts, the campaign has expanded the brand’s portfolio across social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
“Sydney embodies the essence of Dude by always being comfortable in her own shoes. That makes her an undeniable fit for not only our shoes but our brand,” said Terence Reilly, president of HeyDude. “It’s not every day that a generational talent and style icon also authentically lives your brand. So, asking Sydney to join us to expand the perception of what it means to be a Dude was something we had to do.”
Designed with comfort and lightweight materials, HeyDude’s options include the Wendy and Wally Slip, Wendy and Wally Comf, and more silhouettes coming this fall.
