Caleres has appointed Erica Mackoul as the senior VP of international to drive global strategic growth initiatives.

In her new role, Mackoul will work with the Caleres brand portfolio leadership, focusing on the company’s four lead brands – Sam Edelman, Allen Edmonds, Naturalizer, and Vionic. She will report to Caleres president and CEO Jay Schmidt.

Mackoul has more than 15 years of experience in product strategy and development, buying, sales, and merchandising.

Before joining Caleres, Mackoul was the VP of global merchandising at Cole Haan, responsible for the product assortment in 500 stores across 92 countries. She also led the onboarding of 50 international partners and oversaw 14 product categories.

Prior to Cole Haan, Mackoul worked in merchant and sales positions at Ralph Lauren and Club Monaco.

Schmidt believes that their international business has a significant growth potential, which requires a singular focus.

“We are pleased to welcome Erica to the Caleres leadership team. I am confident her knowledge and expertise will accelerate our international growth plans and support our broader efforts to increase sales, expand earnings and drive shareholder value over the next three years,” he stated.
