Estee Lauder has appointed Lisa Sequino as its new president of its makeup brand cluster to accelerate innovation for the brand.

Sequino will also focus on “step-changing consumer recruitment while enhancing local relevance” the company said.

“Her unique combination of strategic and conceptual thinking, entrepreneurial mindset and operational excellence makes her exceptionally well-suited to fast-track our makeup cluster into its next phase of growth,” said executive VP and chief brand officer Jane Hertzmark Hudis.

Sequino previously served as senior VP and GM of Estee Lauder in North America where she led the go-to-market strategy for the brand’s flagship store, after which she was appointed senior VP of brands in the same region.

Here, she oversaw a multi-brand portfolio across skincare, makeup, and fragrance, and was responsible for brand synergies across categories and channels in the North American region.

Sequino then served as CEO of Jennifer Lopez’s beauty brand, JLo Beauty, and most recently was the CEO of Supergoop, where she oversaw the capture of new trends to create products such as tinted moisturizers, lip balms, and setting powders, redefining the category for Supergoop.

“There’s a tremendous opportunity to reach new makeup consumers globally by accelerating innovation and trends, fast-tracking consumer acquisition across channels, driving digital and social media, and assuring local relevance to win with today’s makeup consumer,” said Sequino.

“I look forward to partnering with the incredible teams behind Mac, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Smashbox, and GlamGlow to unlock new opportunities, scale impact, and drive meaningful business results.”
